Time’s Footprints

Life retains the footprints of time in a body. Each individual traces layers of growth in a form that records the flow of life through struggle and dance. Wood grain records the cycles of the years in dark and light areas from fast and slow growth and the easing into a direction of the flow or a constriction where an obstacle intrudes. Sea creatures do the same. So do we. In physical and in memory.
